Fifth Annual Cutest Pets on Capitol Hill

Thank you to everyone for your submissions in the 2013 Cutest Pets on Capitol Hill contest! We are thrilled with the enthusiastic response we’ve continued to see year after year.

There were so many cute entries, but the judges had to make a decision! Thanks again to our judges Kate Bennett, Washingtonian Magazine; Benny Johnson, Buzzfeed; and Nikki Schwab, U.S. News, for taking the time and care to determine this year’s Cutest Pets on Capitol Hill winners.

Representative Kurt Schrader (D-OR) announced the winners during AHI’s Pet Night Reception on Thursday, September 12, 2013. This year’s celebrity pets – the lovable “Baxter” from Anchorman 2 and the famous Aragon the Cat, often known as “Lord Tubbington” of the popular TV series Glee - were also present for the annoucement!
